Success!

I just wanted to jot a quick note…. THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who showed their support, helped on the big day, and for those who were able to join us… I hope everyone had a great time! A few photos have been uploaded, with more to come within the next few days. I’ll post them (or links to them) here to share… :)

Down to the details…

We’re prepping our hair, picking out nail polish (okay, only Tre), and trying to not be obnoxiously excited… But the ceremony is this weekend!! We went out to House on the Hill yesterday afternoon for one more walk-through. Their flowers are just beginning to pop open, the grass is green, and the pool might be useful if the weather plays out the way they are predicting…

Girlish giddiness x 2

It’s fair to say that the wedding has been preoccupying our thoughts lately. :)

We are both, of course, in “countdown mode”. Eleven days!
My stomach is doing somersaults just typing that out…

We’re almost done with preparations (okay, we’re on track)… I have my final-final wedding dress fitting this Friday (with the amazing seamstress at Adelle’s Bridal)… Bobbi has her final-final tux fitting next Thursday… We have a few more hours to put in with the flowers, the favors, and the programs…. and then I think we’re done!

If there are any questions or concerns about traveling, accommodations, rehearsal, or any day-of “stuff”, please don’t hesitate to ask. Just call or email… if you don’t have our contact info, just leave a comment here on the blog and we’ll reach you.

We’re excited to see you all!!

Six weeks, five days…. (status check)

We’re back in town and trying to hit the ground running. Gotta make sure we stay organized so that we don’t suffer from last-minute-madness. This is more for us (except for the 6th one!)….

To-do’s:

Order linens
Flowers (making progress!)
Bobbi’s tux fitting
Tre’s dress altering (*anxiety*)
Tre’s dress altering part 2
Map out overnight guest accommodations
Confirm guests
Send Courtney/Linde dresses
Decide on vows/ceremony and practice with Officiant (Nancy of the Peace).
Go up to HoH to do another walk-through
Figure out wedding favors
Consider making programs
Design
(make) programs

I’m sure there are (still) a few more things…

Ribbons flying… Us too!

We’ve decided to do all the floral decorations ourselves- bouquets and all. Its become my new pet project (thank goodness, I need a creative outlet!) for the next 7 weeks. My mother had a home-based flower business for about 25 years, so I am pretty confident about this. Last night I spent about three hours at JoAnn Fabrics picking out supplies… I’ve already taken over the spare bedroom. : )

In other news, Bobbi and I are flying to Virginia this weekend! We are going to visit my relatives there (on my dad’s side)- Bobbi for the first time. My 97 year old grandfather prompted and provided the means for this trip, and I am very excited to see him again. Two more days!

Two months!

Let us know when you’re driving/flying in!

We can arrange a ride to/from the airport or offer suggestions for the best way to drive to the lodge from whichever way you’re traveling. : )

A little more about the Nest Egg…

So, we just wanted everyone to know that you don’t have to have a paypal account to donate money to our nest egg.  If you look on the left side of the screen after you click donate there is a button for people who don’t have paypal.  You can use any kind of account: credit, debit, or checking.  Hope this helps if you had any questions about it.

PS.  This is Bobbi and my first post ever on the wedding blog.  YAY!

Fri Dec 12

We’ve decided to forego any registries, or a honeymoon, and instead focus on establishing a nest egg for a down payment on a (near?) future home. We have a short-term goal, and we’d greatly appreciate donations to help us achieve it.

(I’m trying to figure out how to set up an easy online donation button here, but the code is being screwy…. That’ll be added soon!)

EDIT: Cool! I made the donate button work. Its even glowing pink!
